Bruce Township is Updating its Master Plan

The Planning Commission is currently discussing an update to the Bruce Township Master Plan. This update is intended to focus on the Township’s commercial and industrial land, addressing these key questions:

• Does the Township have an appropriate amount of land zoned for industrial and commercial development?
• Is the location of the land that is zoned for industrial or commercial use appropriate?

In order to investigate these questions, we need to ask several supporting questions:

• How much land is currently zoned for commercial and industrial uses?
• How much of this land is vacant, or near-vacant/occupied by obsolete uses or structures?
• Some commercial uses exist outside out commercial zoning districts. Where are these?
• How much demand is there for commercial and industrial development in the Township?
• What do the residents of Bruce Township think?
